👋 Hi there! I'm Azhelle aka The Toy Coach

And I'm a 3x patented inventor, award-winning designer, and the founder of Toy Creators Academy. My career started in 2010 as a Doll Design Intern at Madame Alexander, to Global Product Manager at Toys R Us, and eventually, I rose to VP of Brand & Product at a toy company called Creative Kids.

After spending 11+ years developing million-dollar brands that sold at Toys R Us, Target, Walmart, Dollar Tree, and Michaels, I took a step back from corporate toy life to create a business that is dedicated to helping emerging creators (like you!) break into the toy industry.

What Happens After Completing Toy Creators Academy?

Upon completion of Toy Creators Academy, our graduates are encouraged to attend professional pitch events and trade shows within the toy industry. The Toy Coach hosts a TCA Alumni exclusive pitch event annually.

This speed-pitch event occurs 2x per year, and welcomes publishers, distributors, and manufacturers, to review the pitches of multi-disciplinary creators who are ready to put their best pitches forward.

Pitch meetings are carefully curated to assure companies are matched with fresh innovations they want to see. Toy and entertainment companies who participate in the TCA Virtual Pitch Event are able to meet with MORE creators, in LESS time and see FRESH, more informed pitches.
